Psychedelic Integration Therapy &
Microdosing Support

Rima assists clients with microdosing psilocybin and psychedelic integration of ayahuasca, mushrooms and other plant medicines.

Integration is the single most important part of your journey.

Rima has 21 years of experience working with psychedelics both personally and professionally, and has also led retreats in the space. She has traveled many times to Peru to learn from indigenous leaders and has sat in many ceremonies and dietas. She is very familiar with psilocybin, ayahuasca, DMT & ketamine.

Through her work with plant medicines, she has seen the good, the bad and the ugly of psychedelics. They are extremely powerful and have the capacity to heal us deeply but can also harm us if misused. There are a lot of misconceptions in this space, a fact that led Rima to working professionally in the space prior to microdosing became popular in order to help guide clients and friends to engaging in safe and effective practices.

Approach to Integration

Psychedelics are not a magic pill or quick fix. They can be a useful tool on our journeys but they are not for everyone and should be taken with great respect and caution.

Pre-experience: Rima works with clients individually to determine their goals using a harm-reduction approach and to find a path forward. Protocols, appropriate spaces or experiences, safety factors and more are topics discussed. See more below.

Post-experience: Whether you have a beautiful journey, a bad trip, or whether you don’t feel like anything happened, Rima incorporates various tools to meet you where you’re at, help you to make sense of what you experience, and to understand where to go from here. See more below.

Rima assists you in incorporating the lessons received from psychedelics into everyday, actionable ways to heal long-term.

Individual and Group Support

Rima helps clients individually and runs microdosing integration groups. She can assist you in creating a personalized microdosing plan, integrating your past experiences or preparing for future experiences. She can also help you understand if working with psychedelics is right for you (as it’s not for everyone) and how to make the most of it. She can answer any questions you might have on the topic.

Next Microdosing Integration group starts January 2025. E-mail Rima for more information.

Who Can Benefit?

If you are preparing to work with mushrooms or other plant medicines or you have already and you are seeking support from a qualified psychotherapist who’s familiar with the work, don’t hesitate to contact Rima. Rima can help you prepare or process your experience & make a plan for success moving forward.

Many clients come to Rima after years of being on antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications, looking for holistic alternatives and long-term solutions to these medications. These clients often benefit from exploring the therapeutic use of psychedelics.

Preparing for Your Journey/Experience

When therapy clients decide to undergo a psychedelic journey/experience or to microdose mushrooms based on their own research, they may come to therapy to receive a harm reduction education and to be as safe and informed as possible as they explore the possibilities, since there are a lot of myths and misconceptions out there. There are also a lot of legal factors to consider.

I specialize in providing an informed, holistic approach to preparing mind, body, and soul in order to decrease the risk of adverse events and maximize the potential benefits, so you can have positive experiences, should you personally decide that trying psychedelics is the right path for you.

My experience in this field is specialized, legally informed, and strongly embedded in personal experience. I adhere to all federal and state regulations, and I am legally and ethically prohibited from endorsing and advising the use of illegal substances.

What you can expect from preparation sessions:

Risk Assessment: Evaluating your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being to ensure a safe experience. Exploring medical contraindications and advising clients to obtain medical advice from their doctors.

Setting Intentions: Defining your personal goals and aligning them with your spiritual and emotional needs for the journey.

Grounding Techniques: Practicing ways to stay centered and connected to your body before and during the experience.

Addressing Fears or Doubts: Working through any anxieties or uncertainties in preparation for the journey.

Emotional Management Strategies: Creating a plan to handle intense emotions and spiritual challenges that might come up during the ceremony.

Pre-Ceremony Preparation: Establishing a routine to cleanse and ready your mind, body, and spirit (e.g., through diet, meditation, and rituals).

Educational Resources: Learning what to expect and how to navigate the experience, including the cultural background of the substances used.

Safety Planning: Putting together a plan for maintaining physical, emotional, and spiritual safety throughout the experience.

Mindset Preparation: Fostering an open, respectful, and receptive state of mind for the journey.

Support Network: Identifying trusted individuals who can support you during and after the experience.

Integration Planning: Laying out steps to incorporate insights and lessons from the experience into everyday life.

Breathing and Relaxation Techniques: Learning ways to stay calm and grounded, especially during altered states.

Personal Rituals: Developing rituals that reflect your beliefs and enhance the ceremonial aspects of the journey.

Cultural Awareness: Gaining an understanding of the traditional and cultural significance of the medicine and ethical considerations.

Nature Connection: Including practices that connect you to nature, respecting the origins of many medicinal practices.

Spiritual Preparation: Engaging in practices that align with your spiritual beliefs to prepare your soul for the journey.personal

Integrating Your Journey/Experience

In my work with psychedelics, I’ve seen many people spinning their wheels, repeatedly taking ayahuasca or mushrooms, but not making much progress in the personal development. The common issue is they fail to recognize the importance of integration.

Integration is absolutely the most important element in finding long-lasting personal change and healing from psychedelic work. If we don’t implement change in our lives, the “high” from the experience wears off and people can feel even worse than before they started.

That’s the harsh reality. The transformational potential of working with psychedelic medicine can be life changing and we can take advantage of making significant changes more easily when working with a professional post-journey as there’s a window of time afterwards when there are short-term, time-sensitive alterations in your neurological functioning.

This vital period is full of opportunities to digest insights gained during your experience and to turn them into lasting change, process traumas that emerge, and take advantage of this vulnerable and expansive state of mind and being to truly write the story that you want to write moving forward, helping you take lasting control of your life.

I use various tools from my holistic healing toolbox to collaborate with my clients based on where they are on their journey. We may explore hypnosis, inner child work, shadow work, neuropathway plasticity and how to create healthier neuropathways and narratives (i.e. how to train our brains), classical techniques from CBT and DBT, and my many years of personal medicine work to meet you where you are and assist you in integrating the ups and downs of psychedelic work.

What you might find during post-journey/experience sessions:

Integrating Insights into Daily Life: Applying the insights gained from the journey into practical changes, using body-based techniques to stay grounded.

Working Through Difficult Emotions or Trauma: Processing challenging emotions or past traumas that arose during the journey, using trauma-informed, body-centered approaches for safe healing.

Setting Up Grounding Routines: Building daily practices that foster balance, grounding, and emotional stability, using somatic techniques for integration.

Continuing Personal Growth and Healing: Creating practices to support ongoing growth and healing after the ceremony, including incorporating lessons from plant diets and microdosing routines.

Maintaining a Spiritual Connection: Deepening spiritual insights and connections through subconscious work, dream exploration, and methods to reduce reliance on psychedelics.

Sharing Your Experience: Finding ways to discuss your experience with loved ones safely, using tools to convey complex emotions and insights.

Handling Ego Dissolution and Intense Experiences: Learning strategies to navigate and integrate experiences of ego loss and profound altered states for safe and meaningful transformation.

Integrating Encounters with Entities: Reflecting on any entity encounters from the journey, integrating these experiences in a way that supports healing and growth.

Developing a Spiritual Practice: Establishing routines that nurture spiritual connection, encourage ongoing transformation, and align with your deeper intentions.
